Trade in your ultrasound system

You can sell an ultrasound machine you own as a trade-in on your request to buy a new or preowned one.

What you describe
Model, year, scan hours, condition and probes
Photos
Up to eight. Phone photos are fine
Serial number
Never sent to vendors with the trade-in

How a trade-in works

  1. Add it to your request

On a request to buy a new or preowned ultrasound machine, you can add the system you’re trading in: its model, year, serial number, scan hours, condition and probes, and up to eight photos. Location and device details are removed from the photos before they upload.

  2. Vendors price it into their quotes

Vendors will see your trade-in and can price it into their quote.

  3. Agree on the value

When you reply, you can ask how your system was valued, and you and the vendor put in writing who removes and ships it.

What a vendor looks at

A vendor values a trade-in from the details the request asks for: the model and its year, the scan hours, the condition it’s in and the probes that come with it. Photos of the main unit and each transducer let the vendor see that condition for itself. A vendor sees whatever a photo shows, so a photo of the serial plate gives away the serial number.

Start a request with a trade-in

Your trade-in’s details and photos go on a request to buy a new or preowned ultrasound machine.

Before it leaves your site

An ultrasound system can hold patient images. Before yours is collected, you can ask the vendor for a documented wipe of its drive, or for the drive to be removed, with a signed certificate that it was done.
